چکیده :

COVID-19 has challenged us to re-conceptualise STEM and engineering education. Practical and laboratory experiences are pivotal for those subjects. With the pandemic to continue the laboratories tasks were not possible in traditional laboratories. Recognising the challenge posed by COVID-19, and the importance of renewable and sustainable energy in addressing the climate crisis, the paper summaries the RE-OPEN project goals and challenges toward the setting up of a standard ICT solution of “Remote labOratories for Practical Experiments on renewable energies at EU uNiversities (RE-OPEN)”. The aim of the project is also to develop a LMS based on Moodle platform, connected through a series of lab servers that allows access and control of the lab equipment.
