Ethical Framework for the Application of Intelligent Systems in Iranian Universities

چکیده :
Over the past two decades, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed university teaching-learning environment through tools such as personalized learning systems, intelligent tutoring platforms, chatbots, and decision support systems, enhancing learning quality and teaching efficiency. However, AI has also raised ethical concerns, including over-reliance on technology, insufficient understanding of students' emotions, erosion of human willpower, unequal access, and shifts in traditional teacher-student roles. This paper employs qualitative research and documentary studies to explore ethical principles in AI for education, emphasizing ‘transparency,’ ‘justice,’ ‘accessibility’ ‘mental health,’ and ‘responsibility and accountability’. The paper then presents practical solutions such as ‘empowering students and lecturers’, ‘establishing regulatory frameworks’, and ‘combining intelligent methods with traditional approaches.’ The findings offer a comprehensive framework for ethically leveraging AI in Iranian universities, balancing innovation with educational integrity and social values while improving educational quality and technological utilization.
