Gamification and Virtual Reality for Teaching Power Electronics: Boost Converter Simulation and Learning Outcomes

چکیده :
This study examines the integration of virtual reality (VR) and gamification in engineering education. Also, focusing on the MATLAB/Simulink software for teaching the boost converter in renewable energy systems. Given the rapid advancement of engineering technologies, innovative methods such as VR provide interactive learning experiences that enhance student engagement and retention. A VR environment for teaching Simulink was developed, allowing students to simulate and manipulate Simulink blocks interactively to assemble the boost converter system. Survey results, analyzed using a Likert scale, indicate that this approach not only increases student interest and motivation but also significantly improves their understanding and retention of engineering concepts. This method was implemented in a several class for graduate-level students, receiving positive feedback and high satisfaction.
